Born in 1956 in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of Chicago, LS grew up surrounded by the energy, rhythm, and complexity that later shaped his artistic eye. Though he was not formally trained as a photographer, the environments that nurtured him — from the South’s rich cultural roots to Chicago’s dynamic streets — sparked a quiet but powerful creative instinct. Legacy & Continuation

To honor both his memory and the spirit with which he lived, half of all proceeds from print sales are donated to the American Heart Association. This living memorial stands as a testament to the beauty he saw, the community he cherished, and the timeless power of his eye.
